We were all shocked and saddened to hear the news that Roger Grange passed away at the end of December. A familiar face at many events and meetings, Roger was a dedicated supporter of SPLAT. Roger always spoke passionately about the topics of advocacy and bullying. Just before he died, he had been involved in the making of a new DVD for the Smile Stop Hate Crime Team, in which he talked openly about his personal experiences of harassment and bullying.
Roger loved music and enjoyed a sing-along, but his greatest passion was following Nottingham Forest where he was a well known season-ticket holder. He was taken ill shortly after Christmas and died in hospital, from pneumonia. We will all miss him. |
